Welcome to the “Fundamentals of open source” microlearning course!

Course content

This microlearning module consists of three lecture videos that serve as a brief introduction to the fundamentals of open source.

Upon completing the course:

• You will gain basic knowledge about open source.
• You will understand the advantages of using open source as well as possible challenges.

Instructor

The instructor is Timo Väliharju from COSS – the Finnish Centre for Open Systems and Solutions. Timo is a pioneer in open source business, a professional board member, and an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience.

Completion and assessment

This course is designed for independent study. There are no performance requirements, and no academic credits or certificates will be awarded. You are free to complete the sections and content that interest you.
