Welcome to the “Open source business models” microlearning course!

Course content

The microlearning module consists of three lecture videos that serve as a brief introduction to open source business models.

Upon completing the course:

• You will gain basic knowledge of the most common open source business models.
• You will understand the perspectives that need to be considered when selecting a suitable open source business model.

Instructor

The instructor is Timo Väliharju from COSS – the Finnish Centre for Open Systems and Solutions. Timo is a pioneer in open source business, a professional board member, and an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience.

Completion and assessment

This course is designed for independent study. There are no performance requirements, and no academic credits or certificates will be awarded. You are free to complete the sections and content that interest you.
